What a surprise, nothing sour about this beer. Noce cloudy, straw yellow color. Nose was citrus, possibly pineapple. Taste was also pineapple and somewhat orange. Best part was the bitterness!

From the brewery that showcases sour fruit bombs even when they make beer's that aren't sour fruit bombs, the expectation for this double dry hopped Galaxy, Simcoe and Azacca hop hazy IPA is expected to show tartness, fruitiness and weight.
And I'd be wrong. But pouring an expected turbid tarnish taupe appearance, Frosted Nuggets isn't just for breakfast anymore. The hazy ale leaps right out with citrus, tropical, stone fruit, vinous and berry aromas swirled with dank herbs and grasses. Its sweeter taste is laced with a bold cereal grain flavor along with honey, powdered sugar and poundcake ahead of a juicy middle palate of tangerine, white grapefruit, lemon, passionfruit, kiwi, white grape and nectarine. This fruit cocktail slowly trends bitter with grassy and peppery resins to balance most of the sweetness but not to command the finish either.
Full bodied and semi-sweet, the IPA flirts with refreshment but does deliver on flavor. Its a bold hop display that works much better than most of 450 North's IPAs.
