Big blueberry aroma and flavor with more in aroma. Flavor is kind of cake-like (from Whipped Cream Flavors?). Decent fruit/tart balance. Medium bodied with an odd rough artificial (?) finish.

Blueberry, white chocolate and cream- there's no end to the combination of flavors that fuel 450 North and their smoothie style of beers. Teaming up with Funguys brewing, the influences only strengthen.
Pouring a rich and deep purple hue, the Blueberry Yum Yum version of Slushy XL kicks off with a slow separation of lighter purple foam from turbid ale underneath. As a strong waft of blueberry and cream pass the nose, so do more tart fruit, vinous character and cidery notes. Much more sweet on the tongue, the taste of cereal, creamy wheat and marshmallow fluff swirl on the tastebuds. In full satiating fashion, the beer's blueberry character grows into the proportions of big-league-chew, boo-berry cereal and sorbet. With hints of white grape, green apple and gooseberry offering a citrusy tartness, the finish comes with a sherbet-like finish.
Full bodied, creamy and pleasantly cloying, the ale is all about the full saturation of fruit and supporting flavors on the tastebuds, and intended for a fruit dessert of a beer.
