Light hazed pulpy OJ. Citrusy orange and orange peel aroma and flavor with a touch of passionfruit. OK balance; fairly tart with lots of citrus peel character. Fairly light bodied OJ.

A lot like the movie, 450 North has built a cult following with their sour ales. Cram packed with orange, tangerine, mango and passionfruit, it's basically a bitter version of astronaut drink.
The Pulp Friction version of their Slushy XL series pours with a pulpy visual consistency of melted sherbet. And those comparisons only strengthen with the citrusy, tropical scent of fruit juices and underlying tartness. Creamy with cereal, cake batter and agave, the candied upstart soon gives way to the added fruit to insinuate creamsicle, fruit punch and creamy cocktail with an underlying tartness of citrus, cider, wine and berry. Oddly bitter to finish, it's only now that the beer tries to become beer.
Full, chewy and richly flavored, the smoothie sour ale carries the right tropical and citrus balance but it's bitterness proves too distracting, closing with an aftertaste of chewable vitamins.
