In true squeezebox fashion, 450 North's most recent smoothie styled sour ale is much more juicy and less viscous, allowing this halloween edition sour to draw in many, many more drinkers.
Blood red and deep mauve, the nearly neon pour releases a loosely knit pink froth and a candied scent of apple, cinnamon and confectioners shops while the early palate enjoys a juicy taste of squeezebox sweetness and fruit with only hints of cereal or grain. Apple, pear and hints of berry and cherry is propped up with graham cracker and vanilla cream for a smooth, tart and candied-sweet finish with a hint of chewable vitamin bitterness in finish.
Full bodied but not over thick, the juicy ale is a perfect nod to candied apples but not exactly to anyone who wants any beer flavors in their beer.
