Bottle.

A: Cloying sweet watermelon syrup, lightly salty, with a sharp off smelling moderate sourness.

A: Bright golden color, hazy with a thin white head that has solid retention. Light lacing in the glass.

T: Sweet watermelon syrup flavor, lightly salty, moderately sharp sourness that lingers through the finish.

M: Light bodied with moderately high carbonation.

O: Not good; the watermelon tastes like it's from an extract and tastes syrupy. Moreover, the lacto fermentation is reminiscent of puke.

 

 

a candy watermelon dominates the smell maybe a hint of lime salt. The taste is much more mellow watermelon bubblegum a light tartness And lime salt. light body dry in the finish. Not a lot of flavor in this beer. Easy drinking though.

 

 

 

12 oz bottle pous a hazed gold with very little bubbles. Non-existent head and just a spot or two of lacing.

Nose is almost all watermelon, has a nice rind aroma. I dont get much of the coriander in here, but the watermelon smell is pretty dominant.

If you like to put salt on your watermelon, this is your beer! Probably the most saline gose I have tasted with a nice bit of watermelon and sourness. More sour than your typical gose - between the salt and the sour, it tries to drown out the watermelon flavor, which isnt exactly subtle. I think the coriander is more prevalent in the taste, but not sure I would be able to pick it out if I didnt know it was there. It could be a little livelier on the tongue, would be nice to have a few more bubbles. Its a good, unique take on the style and I could see myself picking up another 4-pack at some point.

 

 

 

Pours a very hazy golden color with a thin carbonated head. Head retention is minimal. Lacing is decent. If you can get anything besides watermelon from the aroma, more power to you. Taste is what you would expect. Very big watermelon taste with very mild tartness and saltiness at the end. Very mild compared to other Goses. Nice and juicy and refreshing for a hot summer day. Very light. Mild to moderate carbonation. Could drink a few of them.
