Black with a tan, soapy head. Vanilla and chocolate nose. Dry chocolate malt body, a little crispness. OK but I like others better.

473 ml can served cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for a round $3.25 CDN. Can says Spiced Oatmeal Stout.
Appearance - Very dark brown from the can, nearly black. Two fingers of long last tan head rest on top.
Smell - Mild roasty notes, plenty of coffee, not much else in the way of spices.
Taste - Pretty roasty, lots of coffee and a long lingering roasty kick. Not a ton of depth, tastes good, but it's one long drawn out note. Maybe a bit of vanilla mixed in there. Better as it warms.
Mouthfeel - Medium-heavy bodied, dense but relatively easy drinking for a heavy stout. Carbonation is middling and body is creamy and quite luxurious.
Overall - Nice stout, but not really getting much in extraneous spices and the base beer is solid if not overwhelming. Worth a try, but down expect to be blown away.
