L- Like cloudy orange squash, just an orange/brown version. Pours with 2mm white head.
S- Hipsterish, a blend of citrus notes and then a different side in addition, a kind of bready-marzipan aspect? This does not bode well for me.
T- Not as aggressively hipster as feared. The citrus is mild grape-fruit. I get a bready richness here too.
F- Not the 'hop-bomb' I was anticipating. The fruit notes are pretty light and come with some perfume too. I do get a minor hoppy-dry flourish into the finish.
O- Very different from the classic Bavarian weissbrau style, but that of course is the point. I wonder whether you'd ever see a Bavarian lady in dirndl drinking one of these - unlikely! I'm ok finishing this glass but wouldn't buy it again; I want my beers to taste of beer, and not exotic fruit-sodas.
Bought from Waitrose Edgeware Road, London W2 £2.20/330ml can. BB: 23/09/2020

From a 330ml can.
L: Very hazy, light orange with a one-finger, rich head that reduces to a 2mm cap pretty quickly.
S: Thin and musty. Banana and cabbage.
T: The classic wheat beer characteristics are there - banana, cloves, bubblegum. But in a really watered-down format.
F: Thin with light carbonaton. Surprisingly unrefreshing.
O: Six months old so should be ok. The blurb on the can states "a true & traditional unfiltered Bavarian weiss... with a modern twist". Unfortunately, the twist is being bland and weak. Disappointing.

Bottle 0,5 l. It is said that is made in Munich, Germany..

A - Big white head, honey orange color, medium carbonation.
S - Something got wrong in aroma. Too much spice mix with orange zest, not pleasant.
T/M - Drinkable, smooth, pleasant citrus aftertaste. Low bitterness and carbonation.

O- Except the smell, this is good hefe !

These guys really want you to know that they're craft brewers. Minimalist label, the cap says "I Drink Craft".
Traditional pour, but the foam disappears almost completely five minutes in.
Banana and wheat in the smell, nice, with extra spicy yeasts, especially clove.
Bread doughy taste, dense, big yeasts, packed full of spices: some pepper and strongest clove i've ever had in a weizen. Some banana and a touch of oranges, but not too fruity. A bit of hoppy leafiness in the finish, mild bitterness.
There are some nice extra elements in this one, but there are other weizens on the same level (even better) at a much lower price.

Was in Jo'Burg and had a chance to try the Steph Weiss....a decent Hefie. The beer poured a cloudy gold with white head that did not lace. The scent included banana and clove...perhaps a touch of vanilla. The taste was typical of most heffe. The mouthfeel was light to medium in body with good carbonation. Overall this was a decent beer and a nice break from the standard lagers.
