Golden colour, clear. White foam, fairly low, with a short reduction time. Melts to form a thick circle at the liquid-glass boundary. Only slightly stains the glass.
Aroma: sweetness, caramel, orange.
Taste fruity-sweet with a little hoppy bitterness on the finish.
Medium saturation, works well. Texture soft, smooth. Full body. Aftertaste long, sweet with a dry background.

Much more of a English pale ale to my taste. Pours a deep burnt orange with medium soapy head that leaves some lace. Nose is earthy, leaves, slightly herbal, and malty. Taste is certainly more on the malty side with those earthy hops coming in more and more towards the finish and actually a bit spicy. Probably a better beer than it is getting credit for, but nobody wants these English/Euro hoped pale ales any more.

From a 330ml can.
L: Hazy with suspended yeast granules. Dark, burnt orange colour. Half-finger, white head leaves rings of lace.
S: Smells of...nothing. Literally nothing. All I could smell was the glass the beer was poured into.
T: Floral with an off, metallic edge. Not much malt base. Almost no bitterness and very little sweetness. Finish is short to zero.
F: Moderate carbonation and nondescript body.
O: Another underwhelming offering from And Union. Utterly bland. There are much better "Sunday morning" pale ales available with considerably lower than 5.5% ABV.

CAN
Clear rusty sunshine under loose pocked puffy ivory that rings. 4
Yeasty starter, canned orange slices, citrus oil and a touch of toffee. 3.75
Crackers, tart caramel, lemon zest, Tang, Cascadey flowers, and EKG-esque spice. Old bubble gum finish. 3.75
Almost medium, powdery, some oil. 4
HALLERTAU AROMA, SUMMIT.
A bit maltier than is trendy, and straight C hop type flavors. Not sure I get why German craft is brewing something so conventional. I could drink a pint and not think about it - that’s a good and a bad thing. 4

A: Amber, hazy, decent sized head which hung around for a bit.
S: Initially it was heavy on the farmyard funk, however the Cascade hops came more and more into play.
T: Strong hints of bitter tangerine.
M: Not massively carbonated, medium body, slightly coarse edge.
O: Not bad, but Germany has better IPAs/Pale Ales.

BBD of 11.08.16.
Pale gold with a big, fluffy white head that left minimal lacing. Similar to their Friday IPA, both the aroma and taste are closer to the British varieties of PA/IPAs: fruity and hoppy, but with strong malty aromas playing the lead role. Mouthfeel and carbonation are both low-medium.

golden, rather murky with a full head, aroma of malt, barley, flavour is orange with malt and restrained hops with sharp bitter hoppy aftertaste. An enjoyable ale with its own individual character, I rather like it.
