I love ginger and I love ginger beer...let''s find out if I like ginger in beer.
Bottle has a pretty cool design. Kind of Egyptian symbolism.
Not much head. Kind of cloudy appearance. Ginger beer kind of aroma, with some very bready malt.
The ginger works really well with the hops and malt, definitely much better than beers with fruit added. The spicy ginger adds an extra kind of bitterness to the beer, which complements the slightly sweet malt. The overall flavour is sophisticated and complex. It's light, yet full of flavour, and the malt and hops are perfectly balanced with the ginger. Mouth feel is refreshing, and the ginger kind of tingles in the aftertaste, but is not over-powering.
Overall this is great and quite unique. And a little healthier than usual beer also. Brilliant effort and not too expensive also.
