Larnaca 1/10 2022. 33 cl bottle from Alfamega hypermarket, Larnaca. Chaotic and dark drawing of the four riders of the Apocalypse on the label.
Pours unclear dark amber with a red hue and a small off-white head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a quite overwhelming sweet odor of dark fruits and alcohol. Plums and raisins. Brown sugar in abundance.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, a bit greasy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a heavy sweetness followed by a moderate and minuscule bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and sugary. Lingers for a while. Finish is sugary and semi-dry.
Way too sweet and sugary for my taste buds.

An Abbey-style, red double ale, with caramel, bit of sourness and cereals feel, doubled by the fruity and relatively spicy aromas.
