L- Glorious rich chestnut colour. Pours with a 5mm head that's very pale tan. That is now receding quite quickly
S- It's quite understated. Up close I get toasty, Xmas pudding and caramel. It's nice but a notable contrast to the Mikkeller craft beer I just had that I could *clearly* smell a foot or two away.
T- Understated again, and takes a while to come through. At 5.7% I was expecting a 'Bam, HELLO! character', but no it's subtle. At the finish I'm again getting toasty and some rich malty caramel giving a gentle richness.
F- It's clear it has that 5.7%, you can't miss feeling it. But it's toasty and quite refreshing.
O- I really like this, and will certainly buy it again. It's distinct, interesting, very well balanced and an all-round pleasure to drink.
Bought from M+S in London. I'm pleasantly surprised to see that I've bagged a new listing with this one! :)
