L- Pours quite dark amber, 3mm fine white head (slowly > lacing).
S- A light smell, just some subtle tropical fruit/flower notes.
T- Slow to build, quite hoppy/dry, the fruit/flower notes are present, but pleasantly in balance/subtle. I like the subtlety of this, it's not a floral hop-bomb rammed right on your palate - at all.
F- The body follows on from the hops, and are well balanced out. The hops vs body also balance well to make a refreshing beer.
O- This could make a session beer for fans of this style. I tend to feel trepidatious these days trying a new beer where the labelling dwells on it's hop content, as I've found some of them literally undrinkable . This is nothing like that it's brought together in a thoughtful balanced way. Maybe an 'adults in the room' American hops-focused pale ale? I would buy this again.
500ml bottle, BB 07/2019
ps. The quite simple label features a graphic of the Clifton suspension Bridge in Bristol on a mid and pale blue matt metallic lable.
