Really interesting beer. The cocoa flavour on top of the hoppy IPA really works. The cocoa adds a nice earthiness that complements rather than competes with the hops. Very good.

300ml serving in a small shaker at the brewery.
A: Amber, clear large slightly tanned rocky head, very good retention.
S: Was dominated by the Sorachi Ace hops which won their personal battle with the battle with the cocoa beans.
T: Good balance of citrus fruits from the hops, which provided the
first hit, this was countered by some cocoa to finish with.
M: Fairly light in body, well carbonated, crisp texture.
O: An IPA for a winters day, not as fruity as some but the chocolate set it
apart from its counterparts. Fairly subtle.
