A big tangy beer with good hop bite, big splotchy lace, and polished clarity in a shade of golden oak. SP's Oktoberfest has an odd, eccentric tanginess that can't be ignored. Yet it's appealing and unique with nice elements of toasted grain. Its most obvious shortcoming is its relatively modest carbonation.
Perhaps the best beer I've yet encountered from the Steam Plant.
