Brownish-ruby colour, clear. Light brown head, high and persistent. Tiny bubbles form small patterns on the glass.Medium-intensity aroma, with maltiness (dark malts), dark fruits, earthy notes, cellar notes and nuts. The flavour is distinctly dry with a hint of light, fruity acidity. The bitterness is earthy and nutty, long
and moderately high.Medium carbonation. Soft, smooth texture. Full-bodied. Long, earthy, nutty, dry aftertaste.

L- Black to the eye in room-light, but held in front of a lightbulb it is in fact ultra-deep ruby. Clear (sediment left at bottle), pours with a 5mm fine-bubble deep tan head. Holds up well.
S- Surprisingly mild given it's look. But I get something a little unusual... vanilla maybe?
T- It's quite rich, verging on having a sweet edge to it. The taste reminds me of the rich slightly spicy fruit notes in the filling of a Brit Xmas mince pie.
F- Rich, perhaps too much so. Better (for me) for colder/winter months.
O- It's ok, but for me it's all a bit too rich+big intense flavour.;that's not fully supported by it's relatively low 7.1% leaving it seeming rich/over-flavoured but somewhat under-powered.
330ml bottle. Bought from BeersOfEurope/UK for home delivery to me in London. BB: 16/05/2021.

A dark brown, almost black beer with a settling head. The head fades into a big bubbled layer.
Smell of dark sweet chocolate and figs. A hint of roast, and some chocolate liquor.
Taste has chocolate and dark roast malts with notes of chocolate and figs. The beer is not high on yeast character, I mean there are no strong fruity or solvent-like tastes. I like the above average roastiness of this dark ale, but it lacks a bit in the complexity. Mouthfeel is soft and smooth, the carbonation is low, but nice.

With thanks to my uncle Peter I could enjoy this beer. I think he aged the beer for some time.
A - A big beautiful fluffy beige head. The retention is slower than a snail on sandpaper. The fluid itself is beautiful red, clear and with some carbonation bubbles running to the top.
S - A sweet malt syrup mixed with a swirl of honey smell .
T - Is this a double? The taste is very full and lived - there is a nice fruitiness to be discovered in the malts, very funny and pleasant.
M - A very nice body, just thick enough and still drinkable. Creamy and a light stickiness.
O - Nice double, would buy it and I am curious what a fresh one would taste like.

I bought this beer at Dranken Geers when i was there a week ago. Drank it tonight and it did not disappoint me.
Poured in my Struise glass this beer lloks very nice. A big and firm lightbrown head and a deepdark ambercoloured beer with a nice carbonation.
Good smell of burned malts. Taste is goood, a very drinkable beer with a very light sweetness.
