Forbidden Root - Chicago

This beer comes as a nice golden pour with definite smell of pear right away. Upon taste it is surprisingly complex given the two main flavor profiles I expected. The pear is upfront for sure and brings just the right amount of sweetness without feeling syrupy or sugary. The tarragon is much more noticeable on the back end and the finish. Strong herb taste mixed with the pear dims down the sweetness to make this one of the most interesting flavor combinations I have tasted this year, in a beer. Overall, I would recommend this beer and Forbidden Root in general for its odd flavor profiles and a new tasting experience.
