a hazy session pale type thats a little sloppy but well hopped and pretty good. i just think you kind of defeat the session aspect when its this murky and dense, like, there is nothing delicate or crushable about this, its just mucky pale ale, but with that said, i enjoyed the aroma and flavor of this pretty well, i like that they still have some bitterness in here, which we are starting to see more of in these juicy dry hopped beers, and i like the mix of hops, fresh and robustly dosed. i cant tell if its all citra hops in here or if its just mostly citra, but that familiar profile is huge in the nose and in the flavor too, preserved meyer lemon and lemongrass, faint vanilla and grapefruit too, mellow and oily and vegetal all at the same time. the body of this is a little dense for me, especially for what they are trying to accomplish with it, but its nice and dry and lets the bitterness come out of the hops. i am finding myself more and more in the camp that doesnt care a whole lot of these hazy beers, this was one of me least favorites when we were there, but still something to try if this style moves you...

A nice session ale - brewed with spelt that gives it a somewhat unique malt forward flavor while not overtaking the bright hops. Citra hops give this a really nice orange citrusy flavor. Easy drinking and light in all aspects.
