Oak-aged Vienna-style lager. ABV 5.5% We’re always sorry to see summer go, but we miss our flannels & diving into piles of leaves. To celebrate the change we give you this crispy, malty, bready, lager. Dry, with a kiss of caramel Sweetness.

Had this on draft at Forbidden Roots. I don't have a specific memory of the aroma or taste. I remember it was on the lighter side for a Vienna, and that I liked it more than most Viennas.

Hoodie Weather, an Oak aged Vienna Style Lager. This came in a 12oz. can that I poured into a pint glass. There is a solid finger of tan foam over a dark mahogany brew. After several minutes the foam settled to a thin can with a bit of lacing . There is a medium amount of carbonation on the rise.
The aroma is a sweet malty note, I'm not piking up the oak scents.
The oak flavor is great, followed by the sweet malt flavor, the slightly dry oak notes cutting the sweetness perfectly. There is nothing bitter about this beer at all , just the oak flavors.
The feel is slightly creamy, with a smooth feel. With a low ABV of 5.5, I can sample several and still walk. Many of the barrel aged beers have a much higher ABV, but I like ABV that 6.5 and lower, to me they tend to be smoother without the high alcohol burn. This is very good, a buddy left it here after a fish fry. Proost!

From the 12 oz can in a snifter via Bluejacket74---Cheers brother!
This interesting little brew pours a nice medium ruby tinged brown
color with a nice head of off white dissipating foam that subsides
to a thick ring, subtle dusty layer, and sports some subtle lacing.
Nose of toasted malts, breaded malts, and subtle oak. Flavors
follow the nose but surpass by presentation with a oak steeped
toasted grain and malt flavor with light breaded malts and faint
honey elements. Decent mouth feel; medium light body, medium
light carbonation, and a medium dry finish.

Never had one like this, a solid brew that reminds me of the old
Jack Daniels beers hat were available in the middle 90's that were
oak aged.

Solid

Cheers

Tasted in a snifter from draft at O'Toole's on November 21, 2108. Oak aged Vienna lager. Crisp, bread like body with subtle wood character and just enough caramel sweetness.

Dark ruddy copper color, a finger of foam with minimal spotty lace. Oaky aroma, lager yeast, vague maltiness but not much. Taste is all one dimensional oak, sharp and borderline astringent. Overall it's ok, but there's zero nuance to it. Licking a 2x4 basically.

2022: non-oaked, way better. Easy drinking.

12oz can PKD 09/07/18 poured into a pilsner glass shows a clear mahogany bubbly brown body and very briefly floats a 1/4in soapy cap of foam Dan's lacing.

Aroma and flavors match. Lightly toasted malts, a caramelly sweetness, and subtle hop spice.

Mouthfeel is light and leans medium leaving a caramel aftertaste.

Well done example of the style.
