Forbidden Root - Chicago

I tried this beer off the tapper at the Columbus, Ohio brewery location as part of a five sample flight. It poured an opaque dark amber with khaki head that left some lace. The scent had subtle sweet chocolate malt and roast notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi sweet chocolate malt base with subtle mocha presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with smooth carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.
