I tried this on tap at Chatty Monks, served chilled in a Nonic.
The color is hazed amber with light off white head with lace that sticks with fine bead. The smell is piney and herbal with slight fruity odor of ale yeast and low malt in the aroma with no alcohol or off smell but light apricot in the nose. The feel is tangy with citrus type acidity and light astringency with mild sweetness and low caramel toastiness and slightly dry finish.
The taste is tangy with fruity and slight citrus/herbal hop quality with light malt with caramel gentle and toasted foundation with mild spice character of Motueka with slight grapefruit taste and mild alcohol as the ale finishes. Overall a solid pale ale with very good hop flavor yet still balanced with tasty balance of hops and malt I would be able to enjoy this multiple times without a problem very enjoyable.
