Nippon Beer Co. Ltd., is a Tokyo-based beer importer and distributor for whom Shironama is made under contract by Brouwerij Martens of Bocholt, Belgium.
This appears to be the new brand for the Nigori Shironama Draft. This beer is a happoshu, which means that it does not have enough malt to qualify as a beer under Japanese law and thus is taxed at a lower rate.
The ingredients are wheat malt, barley malt, wheat, barley and hops. Less than 25% of the grains used are malt.
Low, low, very low white head on a very pale opaque yellow body. Sharp white bread aroma. Light refreshing, lacking substance, no lasting flavor or hops.
