This golden lager features floral aromas, mild hops, moderate creaminess and a crisp finish. Pairs well with chicken, salads, salmon, bratwurst, mild cheeses, light desserts or on its own.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Pours yellow orange with a fluffy white head. Smells of sweet grain. Tastes of sweet grain, not much else. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, an above average beer.

Poured from bottle into tulip good 1 finger soapy had recedes to a pool and hangs around, good lacing. Crystal clear golden in the glass, nice to look at. Smells of cracker, and a tad bit of grassiness. Taste is a little skunked, overly sweet on the front end, and carries thru to the finish, hops don't shine much here, there is a small amount of grassiness, slight floral, but mainly just sweet malt. This reminds me more of a euro lager vs a pilsner. Finish is somewhat flabby, not crisp and dry like I would expect from a pilsner

From the Aldi Beer Advent box 2020. A beautiful pour with amazing head retention. Smell and flavor is okay but finishes rough and grainy. Mouthfeel is fair but could be more crisp. Overall a lackluster representation of the style.

330 ml bottle with a BB date stamp on the back label of 10/12/2020.
Pours with a clear golden body with a good white head and plenty of visible carbonation bubbles rising from the bottom of my lager glass.
This is brewed in Belgium but has no trouble passing for a German brew. It's clean and hoppy with a flavor profile clearly suggesting floral German hops.
Overall. A solid, on style, German Pilsner.

11.2oz green bottle Best By 03/19/2021 poured into a becher glass at fridge temp, no ABV listed on label. The beer pours bright light straw yellow with nearly white head. The head recedes to a thin ring and splotchy cap leaving a little lacing. The aroma is faintly grainy, but clean. The taste is slightly sweet pale malt with moderate bitterness throughout. There's a little grassy hop flavor and some sulphur as well. The mouthfeel is medium to thin bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, ok. Other that the sulphur taste, there's no major flaws, but there's also not a lot of aroma or flavor either.

Green bottle from Aldi. Poured into a pint glass, the beer is a crystal clear light gold with a smallish white head.
The aroma is of malts, some hop spice and just a quick whiff of that green bottle funk.
The taste is slightly sweet with a bit of Ritz cracker taste from the malts and some grassy almost lemony notes from the hops. No skunk or Sulphur notes from the green bottle.
The mouth is medium and it has pretty decent carbonation. Nothing here that is off or odd, but I would like to see a little more on both the malt and hop front.
Easy beer to pair with a burger, brat, etc. It is worth the modest investment at Aldi. It is my second favorite of the Aldi German Style lagers.

Comparable to Becks with a little more tartness. Good beer for the price. Big fan of European lagers. Will buy again

Smell: grassy hops, some countering sweetness.
Taste: much like the nose at first, then some rising bitterness

This is a solid econo Aldi beer. Make sure you dig to the back of the shelf and get a six pack that hasn't been sitting out in the light, otherwise it will be skunked in those sorry green bottles.
Look is light to medium gold with an average white head. Smell is pilsner malt with it's light honey note, some white bread crusts and some earthiness/floral qualities from the hops.
Taste is good, no adjuncts just pilsner malt and noble hops. It's not world class but at $5.99 it's a bargain. It's made in Belgium but thankfully there's none of the Belgian yeast character present in so many of their beers. I wish it came in 500ml cans.

Pours a thin-straw color, opaque, Has a thin, white, slightly chunky head, Good carbonation.
Wonderful smell of German Hops, breadiness and lemongrass.
Taste follows the nose. Good German hop presence and breadiness on the taste.
Does not finish as crisp. Breadiness creates a kind of syrup type finish that is not as pleasant as most German Pilsners.
Decent, but the finish hurts this one.

From the bottle, it pours a yellow gold with a nice white head that lasts and leaves lots of lacing (quite a change from my last review). Light malty scent in the nose, with possibly a touch of grass. In the mouth, it is a bit malty.

Poured from 330ml bottle into pint glass. Pours a 1" white head that falls quickly with plenty of lacing. Color is clear pale straw, little streaming carbonation. Mild aroma of toasted barley and grassy hops. Mouthfeel is light and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of cracker, barley sweetness, green onion, grassy hops. Overall: decent for the price.

The pale color that this beer pours is the kind of biscuit like hue good pilsners should look like. The head is nice and frothy with lace left behind. The smell isn't great however. The smell has skunkiness, a flat malt note, and some spicy hops coming through; it is not strong. The taste is very sweet, with some warm spiciness hoppines and hints of more resinous hop character. Its not very complex though. It has an every so slightly present medicinal after-taste. The mouth is harder than ideal but the carbonation is nice. Over all its a simple lager from ALDI.
