Re-reviewing as was drunk last time.
From Belgium according to the label (though I doubt it actually is), bought in Kaufland...drinking in a pilsner glass...wolf on a green bottle, which I think is a translation in latin or something of Lup, or lupus maybe ; )
Light hoppy pilsner aroma from the bottle. Light colour, lots of bubbles...lively with ok head...bubbly as opposed to smooth.
Super light, crisp and refreshing. Doesn't really seem Belgian at all, it seems like more of a very light, budget, international pilsner from maybe Eastern Europe or Mexico. One of the most refreshing pilsners that I have recently tasted, on a hot day this would be amazing. Though it's called a "blonde beer" on the label, not a pilsner ; ) Unfortunately the taste lacks depth, and is rather crisp and simple. However still pretty good overall.
Taste is kind of watery, but natural and pure. Subtle malt and very delicate, light German style bitterness from the hops. Usually budget pilsners always have a horrible off-flavour somewhere, this is different. Though I usually prefer more flavoursome beers, this is difficult not to like, for it's simpleness, natural taste, cool name and wolf on the bottle ; ) It also gives a slightly wierd feeling when drinking...as though it contains methanol. It's not a usual relaxing alcohol high. Anyway, it's good value and a pretty impressive overall effort. Much better than Carlsberg and Heineken.
