Poured from bottle into tulip, 1+ finger light tan head, recedes quickly , great lacing. Brownish/ruby in the glass, a little light seems to get thru. Smells of Belgian esters, mainly juicy fruit. Taste has sweet malt on the front, then the esters come in, slight juicy fruit, maybe a little raisin comes thru, and finishes up with spiciness on the end. Not the best Belgian Pale I have every had but not the worse. Easy drinking and nothing offensive going on with it. If the price was right, this could end up in my fridge

Clear golden color with a decent white head that persists decently and manages some nice lacing.
The aroma is malted grain, banana and grassy hops.
The taste is malt, cloves, coriander and banana.
The body is medium, reasonably smooth and drinkable.
Altogether this is a decent pale ale, drinkable, nothing objectionable, just not particularly exceptionable in any way.

From the bottle, it pours a clear golden color with a modest head, soon diminishing to a nice ring and continent. In the nose , it is slightly fruity and malty. In the mouth, it is a smooth lager with a malt taste and little else. Not bad, but really just there.

Review: Big massive bottle at 75Cl of Kristoffel Blonde Kloosterbier: 6.0% vol
Nice large bottle of beer with a screw toppy thing. Bought from Aldi. A monastery beer, more in style than substance perhaps.
The aroma is slight, got a typical smell for a Belgian, fruity, but it was pretty faint all the same. Nothing to shout home about.
Looks like a fizzy drink, lots of carbonation, jeez. Darkish orange colour, but head dies quick. Not a looker.
Found the taste to be on the light side, definitely very maltish as well
Light tastes, but did detect some regular blonde tastes on the edge.
Nice enough, smooth, quaffable, just a shame that there was so few real tastes or flavours to get excited about.
Very smooth but a largely forgettable and unremarkable beer.
Tastes like a regular lager. Where the fuck is the alcohol, cause I don’t feel it, no kick and nothing too complex here, very light tasting.
That’s disappointing.
Ok, smooth, went down well, but largely forgettable.

From BeerAdvocate Magazine #91 (Aug 2014):
Fruity, Spicy, Grainy, Uninteresting
A bit of a label beer, non-existent history so the background is in question. Regardless, this brew ends up being your typical Belgian Pale Ale. Fruity, hint of alcohol, peppery yeast, and lighter bodied. Odd cereal grain and ascorbic like flavors distract our taste buds. Nothing pops and unremarkable, with the great selection avavilbe currently you are better off passing on this one.

I got a bottle of Kristoffel Kloosterbier, but it contains evident dubbel. And unfortunately the worst one I ever drank. Almost no head, dark reddish brown, weak aroma and flower. Unpleasant aftertaste. Avoid.

A fairly standard dark beer, only notable for its fizzy taste.

750 ml bottle Pours golden with a long lasting, foamy white head. Aroma is of grassy hops and biscuit malt. Body is medium and smooth. Taste is grassy hops, candy sugar and bready malt. Finish is long, slightly hoppy and spicy. This brew reminds me of an industrial lager.
