This was poured into an English pint glass. The appearance was a sly burnt copper color with a beautiful transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace to feed a one finger white foamy head that dissipated to a sustaining cap. Lacing concaves delicately and forms nice looking semi-foamy rings around the glass. The smell has rich sweet malts coating some light sweet tea-like flavorings. Sweet apple mildly traces the underneath in a semi-earthy sort of sweet way. The taste was moderately sweet through the malts with the tea-like features showing a mild toastiness. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a sweet sessionable feel sliding on my tongue. Carbonation runs extremely mild but I’m not worried as I realize that this is supposed to be like this for the style. Overall, another job well done by Simple Roots on the style. As for me, I wouldn’t mind having again especially with some fish n’ chips.

Not a stand out but well-balanced and very smooth.
