Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a pure black color with a quickly dissipating white thin head. No lacing. The aroma had milk chocolate sweet and up front blending with some dark coffee beans. Vanilla bean, roasty with a smooth rich sweet oatiness to it. The flavor starts roasty with robust coffee sweet creamy notes. Mildly blended coffee to cocoa bean aftertaste with the same sort of finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation to it. Roastiness seems to grip nicely on my tongue. Overall, oatmeal stout that I would have again. Vanilla beans seem to work wonders.
