The appearance was a ruddy burnt amber color with a sly transparency about it. Carbonation bubbles could be seen rising at a moderate pace. No head or lace.
The aroma had some sweet malty dark bread flowing evenly into a nice eventful earthy to grassy hoppiness. Smooth yet sweet.
The flavor was basically the same, the smooth sweet maltiness. The hops played a lighter contour here. The aftertaste was smooth maltiness.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a great sessionabillity about it. Carbonation felt good, somewhat low, but good for me. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, pretty good Maibock that I would have again.
