Poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a semi-murky copper brown color with a sturdy finger's worth of white foamy head. It really took its time to fall off. Once it did, there was some filmy foamy lace around the glass.
The aroma started off with pure sweet pineapple chunks up front lightening up with touches of lemon rind, a small whiff of pine and an even lighter note of woody and grassy hops.
The flavor yields to the sweet fruity pineapple-like qualities initially but grabs the pine and lemon rind bitter notes to balance appropriately. Mild aftertaste of a blended pineapple to lemon and piney hop bitterness.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Plenty of bitterness invades with some harshness but creates enough smoothness to go along with the carbonation. Finishes with some grassy hop notes, lemon and more of a pineapple skin dryness.
Overall, I'd say a pretty nicely done American IPA worthy of coming back to.
