MashCraft Brewing

Despite the pictures on Google, this place is dead on a Sunday afternoon. Quiet. Large open seating area, mix of picnic tables, tables and high standing surfaces. Wood and steel. Good service.

 

Fun brewery. Small space, so you never go without a drink for long. They always have a large list of beers to try.

 

Nice spot that's not in Indy. Peeps are friendly. Beer is good. Interesting Bring Your Own Food concept. The High PA was definitely the winner for the night.

Cool spot, south of Indy. It’s in the corner of a strip mall, but that doesn’t take anything away. The beer is good and the service is great. Another place that proves the best beer in Indiana, isn’t in Indy.

Located in the middle of a strip mall in Greenwood. Lots of picnic tables around with a fairly small bar area with stools. Really friendly service from the staff. On one visit the head brewer was passing out samples of upcoming anniversary releases and even asking for feedback. Not the largest selection of beers around but a nice variety of styles.

Great atmosphere! Great craft beer!

I stopped by Mashcraft's taproom late on a Sunday afternoon. The Colts game had just ended, and there was not another customer in the place when I walked in, although several growler fill customers showed up while I was there. They are located in a nondescript small strip mall, easy to find about five miles south of the Indy beltway.

There were 11 Mashcraft brews on tap on the day I visited, plus a handful of guest taps. The bartender was very helpful, greeted me right away and asked me what kind of beer I liked. I said "robust flavored," and he quickly poured me three decent sized samples. He seemed knowledgeable about the beers, which is always a good sign! I filled two howlers (bullets, as they are called in the Indianapolis area) with the black IPA and the regular IPA to take back to Ohio with me.

The layout inside was very conducive to socializing and enjoying the beer. Picnic style tables are the primary seating. The bar itself was surprisingly small, and there were only about 4 bar stools (all were taken) when I visited. It's almost like they want you to go sit at a picnic table and mingle.

If I lived in the area, I would definitely make this a regular stop on my beer circuit. Mashcraft has been getting quite a buzz since they opened, and I have high hopes for some really great beers coming from this team. Bottom line: definitely worth a visit if you are in the Indy area and have have transportation.

 

 

Feels like home! One of my favorite breweries in the Indianapolis area.

 

I've not yet been to the brewery, but had a couple MashCraft Spice Spice Baby (Spiced Wheat) pints at Twenty Tap in Indianapolis, IN. It's fantastic, and will stay in heavy rotation if I can find it. Definitely a new staple beer for me!

 

 

 

This is a new brewery, open for less than 6 mos. The beer was very clean and full of flavor.
