Look: Pours hazy dark brown to form opaque body of the same. Minimal tan head which rapidly dissipates to lacing on rim and center.
Smell: Sweet up front with raisins, prunes, chocolate, and malt. Back notes of coffee and maybe a hint of new leather.
Taste: Tongue is surprisingly, maybe disappointingly, light with raisin, dark chocolate, and malt notes forward and faint lingering aftertaste of baker's chocolate and pipe tobacco, bitter on the sides of the tongue.
Feel: This is the most surprising part of this beer. Mouthfeel is super light with crisp carbonation with none of the syrup or roundness one would expect from an imp. stout clocking in at a mighty 11% ABV. Drinks more like a brown ale that got lazy and stayed in bed a bit too long.
Overall: A respectable beer which, sadly, does not drink like one would hope. If you're a fan of brown ales and want one with an extra bite, this might be up your alley. If you're expecting a heavy, burly imp. stout which will coat your tongue and leave you full, seek elsewhere.

From Optimus beer. In Teku glass. Playing Costume Quest 2. Great balance in the flavors, with a slight licorice touch and an important bitterness. The 11% abv is formidabily well hidden

Poured from fridge temp. Really good carbonation with lots of head on an aggressive pour. Color is jet black. Nose is really nice - reminds me of some of the best Russian Imperial Stouts out there. Big licorice, smoky wood, a bit of tobacco, coffee grounds, and a hint of big, bold dark fruit. After a bit of warming, I am getting some leather and a bit of raisin. Taste is really good. Sweet upfront, with a heavy licorice right after the sweetness. Definitely a bitter sting to the flavor on the back end. Lots of coffee grounds, tobacco, and a syrupy bitterness. Aftertaste is mostly bitter. Alcohol is really well hidden. Overall, this is a really fantastic beer that I was lucky to find in a little shop in Germany. Definitely rivals some of the American classics, such as Stone RIS and Old Rasputin. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy.

Bottled and possibly bottle conditioned
Pours a jet black body with massive foaming tan head
Cocoa and whisky aroma with coffee hints and cigar leaves
That aroma with a slight liquorice twist in the flavour
Dangerously drinkable
