A huge head with lively carbonation and an orange color.

Smell is a bit biscuity and has some flowery, citrus smells.

Taste is malty like pilsner malt is. The yeast adds a vanilla and lemony taste, that combine very well together. A light clean bitterness with a minor sharp edge and some light higher alcohols.

From cervezasespeciales. In Teku glass. Playing Mutant Mudds. 13 months after BB date and still very tasty. Small geyser when opened. Not much sugary. More of a dry and yummy bitterness with a hint of sweetness

33cl bottle bought this spring, with a Feb. 2014 best-by date, poured into a tulip. Shiny copper, cloudy but translucent, lined with strands of bubbles, with rocky, ivory-colored head, bubbles loudly popping -- is there a sound rating on these? -- as it reduced but didn't altogether dissipate, leaving a real looker of a cream-fringed glass of liquid metal. Gentle, subtle hop flowers in the nose, buttered toast with strawberry and apricot jam, fresh and nutritious-smelling. Plus maybe a hit of clove and pine. Lively blended attack of herby, spicy as opposed to merely bitter hops (which is not to say it's under-bittered) and jammy malt, I'd again suggest apricots, oranges both bitter and sweet, banana, tea, and I swear this isn't breakfast. All in balance and restrained. The mouthfeel is particularly interesting, creamy and lively with carbonation, substantial and more-ish. This is a complex little package, restrained, just an excellent performer for the style.

Had this in a beer bar in a small town in Belgium.

Pours a cloudy honey color with a big foamy white head. Great retention. Big sticky lace.

Smells like a typical Belgian ale and rather clean. Citrus aroma as well.

Taste is like the smell. Nice malt sweetness, spice and a bit of lemon.

Medium bodied in the mouth.

Delightful and very easy drinking. Liked this one.

BB 12-10-07. Litle white head and a clear copper/amber beer. Nose is strongly phenolic and spiced probably with a whole bunch of spices. Taste is strong and good having a moderate sweetness, lots of alcohol, good malts, liquorice, sweet gale and moderatly bittered. Good carbonisation wth it and balanced taste create good mouthfeel. Overall a good beer and a pleasure to drink but so are many belgiums.
