Bottle at the Café. This is brewed by De Proef for Jordi and his place. The bottle indicated it bottled in 2007.
Pours a hazy lemon-yellow color with a one-finger white head. The head recedes into a wispy layer on top leaving solid lacing.
Smells of light malts with mild amounts of wheat twang and heavier amounts of citrus - more orange and lemon than anything else. As it warms mild amounts of floral aromas in conjunction with light spices waft out.
Tastes good. Light malt flavors kick things off before being overtaken by citrus and lemon peel flavors. Midway through the sip light clove flavors come into play before fading into a crisp ending.
Mouthfeel is good. It's got a nice thickness with soft carbonation.
Drinkability is also good. I finished my glass with no problems and could have another.
Overall I thought this was a nice and refreshing beer however nothing really stood out. Still, it's worth a shot.
