Sample glass at the 18th Christmas Beer Festival in Essen on 15th Dec 2012.
Dark brown body with an off-white, almost beige head.
Rich aroma of coffee, chocolate and liquorice all rolled up in a spiced mince pie.
Tasted like it's smell: a real Christmas treat. Full of flavour and alcohol, wanted more, but the wife and other beers prevented me from sticking with this glorious brew. Should have had it later in the day, as I kept comparing my other beers to this monster and they all came up short.
