Amber brew with a brief flicker of foam in the tulip. An odd aroma of something like old bath water. Very light body and a watery mouthfeel.
Faint suggestion of caramel with a little musty malt flavor. Bitter finish. This is almost a record for low ABV in American bottled beers, so I give it some slack. I think there is some more experimenting to do, but it's a worthy attempt. a little hop aroma would be welcome.

On cask at MacLeod Ale Brewing Company in Van Nuys, CA.
Pours a clear honey orange with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, nut, earth, and floral aromas. Taste is much the same with toast, nut, and floral flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is light, tasty, and easy to drink.
