On cask for Cask & Ye Shall Receive held at MacLeod Ale Brewing Company in Van Nuys, CA.
Pours a hazy orange with a foamy beige head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, citrus fruit, citrus zest, and earth aromas. Taste is much the same with toast, earth, and citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.
