From cask into a taster at the brewery. (they also had this beer on nitro, but I did not try it.)
L - Clear, darker gold, almost bright amber. A little soft head.
S - (I was never really good at this one.)
T - Smooth, delicate. Little to no bitterness while being well balanced. Not sweet. Nice, easy beer flavor.
F - Very light, little to no carbonation, goes down like water.
O - I can drink gallons of this in one sitting and still enjoy more. It's just an easy, simple, unpretentious beer that I can see getting along well with any food (we had french fries while drinking this), or even quenching one's thirst after a an intense workout, hot day or a lawn mowing. My wife and I tried tasters of seven of their beers (most on cask) and this one was above and beyond the favourite of us both (we also really liked the Irish Dry Stout, but not quite as much as this). Never been to the UK and Milds are hard to come by in the US, but we've been fortunate to try Flagship Brewery's Dark Mild, which was excellent, though a different animal. I know I'm comparing apples to oranges but I enjoyed Good Old Geoff even more. I really like simple, easy-to-drink beers, and this one is one of the best I've had of that general category. Outstanding!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
