From BeerAdvocate Magazine #90 (July 2014):
Grassy, Fruity, Grassy
Pours a cloudy, dirty peach with an exceptional head and lacing. Stone fruits, herbal, wood, toasty malts, and freshly mowed grass in the nose. Super creamy mouthfeel, slightly syrupy in the body. Flavors hit with a rind hop bitterness, astringency all over, tangerine, grass, dank, floral, malty back, toasty, fruity, jammy esters, and earth with dry, grassy linger. Things get a bit too astringent, and it could use some cleaning up and malt balance, but overall good.

A BevMo pick up as I was unfamiliar with galaxy hops. But I lived 5 years in Santa Cruz, so Id' certainly give a PG brewery a go.
Looked good, nice amber with some copper hints. Aroma had some piney, resinous notes. Promising, but the flavor - which was a really nice combo of some pine and malts - just did not linger. I guess I like my IIPA/DIPAs a little stickier.

I stumbled upon this beer at my local BevMo, and was surprised that it was brewed out of San Jose, since I'm familiar with most of the local breweries in my area. After pouring a glass, I was not wowed by it. The color is good, the smell is nice, but the flavor is nothing to write home about. It is a drinkable IPA, pretty affordable for the ABV, but did not impress me. I think the most impressive thing about it is the creative name and labeling.

Tasty West Coast IPA, 80 IBUs and 7.5 % ABV. Poured from a 1pt 6 fl. oz bottle. Nice white foamy head with the piny hops aroma I love. Color is a rich amber. Taste of piny hops with nicely balanced malt undertone. All and all a very drinkable IPA.
