Poured into a Stone flute glass. Pours a hazy golden amber with a nice two finger white head with good retention and lots of lacing, looks nice. Aroma of citrus and piney hops, biscuit and pale malt, hints of caramel and tropical fruit, inviting. Flavor is rich biscuit and caramel malt, lemon forward citrus and piney hops, light toffee and tropical fruit; finishing with great resinous citrus and piney hop bitterness. Medium bodied with light creaminess. A quite nice Western IPA with a good, flavorful malt body and excellent hop bill with a spectrum of pine and citrus flavors. I enjoyed this a lot.

Bottle poured into a BarrelHouse Brewing Co pint glass
A: Pours slightly hazy golden orange amber with plenty of frothy off white head that settles to a dense layer and laces very nicely.
S: Citrus zest, lemon, lime, grapefruit, tropical notes, pine, a little bready malt, and a touch of caramel malt sweetness.
T: Bitter pine, lemon zest, lime, a little grapefruit, tropical fruit, passion fruit, very faint lychee, bready, lightly toasty, and some caramel malt sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: Bitterness is fairly harsh. There's tropical notes and a little sweetness, but not enough to save this one. Just too harsh.

L - Nice looking beer. Slightly hazy with eggshell head
S - Lots of citrus and pineapple. Herbal?
T - This was rough. Very VERY astringent. Right at the front, you get the tropical flavors, orange, pineapple mango. But immediately afterwards, you get the strong astringency that makes it very difficult to enjoy this beer. An unpleasant bitterness lingers, reminding you of the off flavors that you experienced right beforehand. I could not finish this bottle.
F - Nice carbonation and viscosity.
O - I was looking forward to trying but was very disappointed with this one.

6.5% ABV per the label.
Pours a hazy orange with a foamy off-white head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. A foamy lattice of lace coats the glass on the drink down. Smell is of citrus fruit, citrus zest, and grapefruit juice aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest, grapefruit juice, and chemical or metallic flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an average beer with solid citrus forward hop aromas, but there is an odd mix of citrus and chemical or metallic flavors that make this one a bit of a chore to drink.
Serving type: bottle.
