One of my favorite brews, and local to me too.
A brilliant red-brown colour. Thin white head. Scent of bread yeast. Taste like caramel, faint raisins, and delicious bready malts. Mouthfeel typical of lager -- smooth and quaffable. Little to no hop bitterness is detectable, unlike some more typical members of this style. Whether it suits the style or not, the flavour is incredible.

I’ve had Vienna Lagers that aren’t red and I’ve had redder red beers than this one. Having said that, this beer tastes very good. Not harsh like some, and no hints of rye like I usually find. Overall a very decent brew

Pours out a deep, caramel like gold. It forms over a finger worth of tingy, off white bubbles that hold well. Perfectly clear.
The nose brings caramel malts, toffee, doughy dark bread.
The taste delivers much of the same. Beautiful caramel and toffee notes in front of doughy, dark bread; almost rye bread like.
Thick for a lager but could finish cleaner. It’s smooth, there is just a faint sharpness on the end.

Pours a short head that dissipates to a ring, some early lace. The colour of weak tea, rusty red and clear. Lots of caramel sugar and malt on the nose and to taste. A hint of roastiness and bread. Medium body. Unremarkable but competent. Quietly pleasant and easy to drink.
