A very complex stout obviously very calculated with layer upon layer of intense flavors, from espresso to chocolate to vanilla and ending with an organic peanut butter nuttiness that anchors the flavor profile making you *need* to go back for another. One word: awesome.

I tried this beer at an investors meeting for this new brewery. As you can tell by the name, it's inspired by The Big Lebowski.
Look/Appearance (5/5): A very dark molasses color but with a twinge of mahogany brown. The head is a pleasant size that does not take up too much of the glass. The color is a pale chestnut brown that mirrors the crema of a finely brewed shot of top shelf Italian espresso.
Smell (5/5): In a word: ROASTED. Aside from the floral sweet roasty smell of the malt from roasted grain, the fragrance of freshly roasted coffee beans, cocoa beans, and peanuts enter the nose without being overpowered.
Taste (5/5): Smooth and refreshing taste of deep roasted but sweet malt. (think in the sense of caramel candies, caramelized onions, or roasted garlic; not by taste, but when cooked down and have a dark flavor to them they become sweet - same idea) On top is a mixture of chocolate and peanut butter that adds sweetness and depth to the flavor mixed with an equally powered flavor of coffee. All of that topped with the subtle and floral note of vanilla.
Feel (5/5): My reasoning for this good rating is because many darker beers have a heavy mouth feel (even the best ones). This, has a pleasant light feel on the tongue and is very refreshing.
Overall (5/5): This beer defines "craft beer". An original beer based on an original concept. It was, in fact, a winner of the Sierra Nevada homebrew competition a year or so ago. Malty, sweet, roasty, refreshing. Truly one of the best beers I have ever tried.
Final Score: 5/5
