Awesome guy who has been brewing for 20+ years runs this place. The beers tend to have a sour/tart taste, which I love.

The best brewery in town. Terry is easy to talk to and I haven't had an easier drinking beer than his. I loved every ipa I tried and keep getting impressed the more I try. I will be joining the mug club and will continue to go back once a week for open mic night on Thursday nights. I love his atmosphere. I hope he stays for a long, long time. His close competitors don't stand a chance and never will.

This brewery is located in a corner storefront setting in an old, mixed retail-residential area on the southwest side of town. It’s next to a bottle shop that also sell homebrew supplies in case you need to shop for anything to take home, and parking for patrons of the brewery is adjacent to this store. The brewery is about a year old. The interior is a small place that can seat only around 50-60 people. There is no food, although peanuts are available as a snack, and each table has a book of menus from nearby restaurants that will deliver here.

My wife and I arrived in mid-afternoon on a Friday, and the pub was not busy yet. This gave us a chance to chat with the owner/bartender/brewer which is always a nice thing to do when beer is the main topic. The vibe in the place is cozy, and the bikini-outfitted mannequin that was lying in the front window added a bit of ‘charm.’

There were 8 beers on tap, so we ordered a sampler flight so that we could try them all. For a new brewery to be producing good beers is unusual, so this place is unusual. Each beer was brewed very well to its respective style, although the English Bitter was darker than what I’ve ever seen in an English Bitter before. The beers are not only good, but the brewer also puts some unusual twists into the beers that give them an extra something that works out well for extra flavors. A hoppy red ale with roasted barley was very nice, and an amber ale with notes of burnt maple are two examples of what we experienced as we sampled the beers. Four or five of the beers are said to be on the menu on a regular basis, and the other beers are constantly something new that the brewer wants to try. So you can look for something unique on each visit here. I’ll certainly go back again to see what is new.
