Crowler shared by Mcox, thanks for the opportunity. Deep amber copper color with a bubbly off whire head. Caramel toffee and light coffee notes. Not much of a porter but tasty.

Named after Kilgore Trout. I asked.
Billed as a coffee porter. Pours very dark brown, nearly opaque, with a nice off-brown head.
Smells of light, sharp coffee and some medium-strength porter malt. Not as rough as some porters, nor as coffee-ish as most contemporary coffee beers, but very well balanced and nice.
Tastes good up front: light coffee nodes accentuated the burnt barley of the porter, starting bitter and getting a little sweet in the middle with some bright mocha flavor. It finishes a little off, though, with some strange grain nodes that taste like wort. It's not a bad taste, but it just really doesn't fit in with the rest of the beer.
