Appearance: Extremely translucent pale yellow color, incredibly pure appearance with no foreign matter absolutely crystal clear. Brilliant white whisked egg-white head with a low density. One of those heads that easily blows off if you accidentally sneeze on your beer.
Smell: No smell whatsoever that I could immediately ascertain. A deep inhale, gives a very light malt odor, or is that my imagination?
Taste: Hmmm, difficult to describe in positive literate terms. Lacking in any real assertive character. Slight malt grain feel, and a little bitterness in the finish. A pellucid beer in looks, and tastes.
Mouthfeel: Very light on the mouth, it slips down easily without a trace.
Drinkability: A real session beer, that will rarely affect your taste buds, it leaves them clean and totally unaffected so that you can really appreciate the small bowl of those lovely salted Pretzels that come with your beer. Really hard to believe that this is 4.8%, I have drunk Cask Milds at 3.2% with more taste than this beer.
Overall: The most basic of the Pils that Battin produce. The best way to describe this beer is that it is the Grand Duchy of Luxembourgs equivalent to Bud Lite - me thinks.
