Clear gold, white head that quickly dissipates, spots of lace
Honey, bready malt, slight earthy spice aroma
Earthy spice up front, sweet malt, then a bit of fruitiness. Earthy spice lingers. Dry.
Light bodied, carbonation is on the edge of not enough to be really crisp and any more would be too gassy. Clean
A really nice alternative for the shoulder season from all the Oktoberfests.

From the pint can, it pours a slightly hazy amber color with a modest, soon diminishing, head tat leaves nothing. The nose gets breadiness with some light spiciness. The mouth follows, with the rye malt adding a nice complexity to the breadiness.

Poured from a growler into a pint glass. Has a light cloudy yellow color. Very light lacing. It has a slightly different taste and look compared to what my mind conjures up as a kolsch. I found it easy to drink and quite satisfying.

On tap at the brewery. Well-made beer. A bit more body and malt than kolsch in Koln but rye malt was a nice twist and definitely added a lot of spiciness.
