Bottle dated March 7:
The beer pours straw yellow from the bottle but settles in as more towards golden. A nice couple figures of white head burst from the body, but do slowly settle into a thin rim around the edge of the glass. No lacing.
Nose is estery - I get banana tinged apple cider and strawberry with a nice meadowy background of flowers and grass.
Taste gets me more pear than apple, along with the strawberry from the nose. Only a light banana note, but a decent earthy spice helps the opening seem decently crisp. Carbonation is light and tickling, which eventually seems to become more of a peppery tingle. It is quite light, and the peppercorns from the beer's name never really assert themselves too strongly. A little herb to grass bitterness joins late, as well - but might stay a little too long for my tastes, leaving a lingering bitterness I could do without.
A nice offering - I'd prefer a cleaner ending and maybe just a tad less fruitiness. I'd grab it with a dinner on occasion if I saw it offered, I think it might go well with a lighter dinner.
