Our Imperial Milk Stout is bold and rich, featuring notes of chocolate and residual sweetness from the addition of lactose, balanced by a roasty base. This big, dark stout is silky smooth, with none of the boozy burn you might expect from a 10% stout. Perfect for cooler weather and longer nights.

From the small can, it pours a clear stygian dark brown/black color with a nice brown head that slowly reduces. The nose gets a boozy roasted malt scent. The mouth follows with a rich flavor of roasted and black malts with coffee notes and dark chocolate.

Poured moderately hard from a bottle into a snifter glass, eventually resulting in a finger of light brown head the quickly faded to nothing. Deep brown, effectively black, color. Smell is a slightly boozy malt/milk stout. Taste is similar, but not too boozy. Fairly malt heavy, but the milk stout flavor is good and not too average like some can be. Light/medium bodied with light carbonation, just a subtle bite at the beginning. Good milky stout for a change of pace, especially if you like a strong malt character.

Poured a black body with minimal head and a little lace with a bit of a lactic aroma but nothing special. Real smooth beer so the milk part comes there and hides the ABV but isn't too flavorful and has just a touch of chocolate sweetness as well (not chocolate milk).
