Power is a Belgian Strong Ale brewed in collaboration with our friends from De Struise Brouwers in Belgium. This big, boozy beer balances malty sweetness with a roasty backbone thanks to a healthy dose of coffee from local favorites Lamplighter Coffee Roasters. Power clocks in at 11% ABV, so remember: with great Power comes great responsibility.

A - Dark brown/black
S - Yeasty chocolaty aroma, milk chocolate, light booziness.
T - Dark chocolate, some spiciness, lots of bourbon personality for a non-barrel aged beer.
M - Big medium body with some silky texture.
O - This is a fantastic beer and underrated so far (IMO). Seek it out.

L: Poured from a bottle to a tulip glass. Had a dark brown / black color and an opaque consistency. There was a small amount of foamy, tan-colored head that quickly dissipated. Not much lacing to speak of.
S: A very good aroma of dark fruit, coffee, Belgian yeast, malt, and some spices.
T: Tasted of a fair amount of sweet malt notes, a little bit of dark chocolate, some coffee (not as much as expected), dark fruit (plums, in particular), and a hint of cloves. An interesting flavor that's oddly smooth. The coffee element could have been stronger, but that's a minor quibble. Smooth and complex.
F: A below average amount of carbonation with a very smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: While this beer is uneven in places it's still quite tasty. Drinkable.
