Collaboration with Final Gravity Brewing Co.
Blind Tiger Pre-Prohibition Lager is our newest collaboration. Made with the fine folks at Final Gravity Brewing Co. and inspired by some of the earliest lagers crafted in the United States, Blind Tiger was brewed with American 6-Row barley and flaked corn. On tap:
A clear light golden body with a light head that doesn’t stay.
Fairly neutral nose, there’s a little grain, a hint of corn, and some grassy hops, but light scents don’t make it easy to discern. Taste is there, though, a crackery malt adds just a hint of sweetness. There’s a half a splash of citrus and then some spicy and grassy hops to lean this just slightly bitter.
Light, clean, fairly dry with a slight bite, this seems a good lager, though it seems more modern than other pre-Prohibition lager attempts I’ve had. Of course, I can’t speak to authenticity. This is as enjoyable as their Pilsner to me.
