From the small can, it pours a hazy amber color with a modest off-white head that soon diminishes to a ring and islands. The nose gets nice ginger and honey. The mouth follows, with a modest wallop of honey ginger, followed by a slight zinginess in the back of the cheeks. Mild slightly odd aftertaste.

Pours an amber-brown with little head, although the mouthfeel has fair carbonation. Honey, yes. Ginger, yes. And yet this ale straddles a void zone between a true ginger beer and an ale flavored with ginger. I would have loved more ginger on it, or at its current level, I would preferred a more flavorful base ale. This is just hitting me with cognitive dissonance.
