Poured from the can into a Libbey style pilsner glass.
Slightly hazed, with a real nice fine reams of slow linear carbonation. Golden brass and brown colors, make to a fluffy rich off white head that is tall at three fingers, with some retention. Pill lacing and a thick crowned collar and puck while it slowly settles. Good looking lager here.
Nose is exceptionally good. Deep bready malts and thick bread dough with cracker like crusty aromas. Herbal hops play nicely as well, with a wonderful added spice. Deep thick and clean lager aroma great stuff.
Palate needs a bit of balance. Lots of competing characters going on here, but the end result still maintains good drinking. Light bodied but slightly wet sweetness of malt, forgoing the big dough and rich malt character on the nose. Herbal presence comes in nicely, but then gets big and hits with excess bitterness like a wallop. Very astringent but still spicy and tolerable finish.
Flavors are a bit out of kilter, but still manages some decent lager drinking.

Look: It pours quite clear and golden with an off white head. Head retention is very good.
Smell: It has a malty aroma with a little bit of sweetness with it. There are hop notes that are more herbal than spicy, but both elements are present. There is a very low corn elements as well.
Taste: It has flavors of grainy sweet malt with some herbal and spicy notes in the background. There is a very low level of corn.
Feel: It has a medium light body with moderate bitterness that persists through the finish.
Overall, a good, easy drinking beer with malty flavors enhance by the hops and a quality bitter finish.

Delicious pale lager! Crisp and refreshing, pleasant pale aftertaste. Perfect amount of carbonation. Pours clear and golden with fluffy head, pale on the nose.

Pours a hazy golden, excellent thick head cumulus cloud like head retention. Smells like bread dough after a nice proofing. It is surprisingly more hop forward than I expected - although still within a lager concept. There is some expressed lime juice that gives way to some earth spice and a drying sourdough bread malt finish. I'm not sure where this falls within Ardent's portfolio or what beers this takes influence from. I feel some of the Pils' hop character in this. At the same time, I'm not sure I enjoy it as much as any of Ardent's other pale lager offerings.
